Jörg Michel presents the Osnabrück Palace Garden as part of the Contact Study Days

2022-11-04

HERE IDEAS GROW AND CONNECTIONS BEGIN, the Friends of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture are writing on the website of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and invites you to various continuing education events on 11th and 12th of November 2022. The aim is the exchange between science and practice and the associated cultivation of contacts.

In the Landscape Architecture section, this year's Contact Study Days deal with a topic that could hardly be more topical: Many of our inner-city squares and also other open spaces were planned and built in the 1960s or 70s. After several decades of use, they are now in a condition that no longer meets the demands of the population, safety and accessibility, as well as the changed climatic conditions.

In a lecture at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences on 11.11.2022, Jörg Michel will use the example of the Palace Garden to explain how the challenges could be overcome in practice. Following the subsequent panel discussion, a guided tour through the Palace Garden is planned at 3:00 pm. Short-term participants can still register for the event until November 8th, 2022.
