One More Thing – Nomination for Berlin-Brandenburg Landscape Architecture Award 2026

We have been nominated for the Berlin-Brandenburg Landscape Architecture Award 2026 with the foundation ensemble Spore & Publix in Berlin-Neukölln! 

The landscape design of the foundation formed by the Spore Initiative and Haus Publix is conceived as a mediating layer between the architecture and the cemetery, while simultaneously contributing to one of Berlin’s most intensively used urban environments. Hermannstraße is one of Neukölln's most challenging axes: heavy traffic, social pressure, little greenery, barely any places for rest or encounter. Rather than offering an enclosed island in response, the ensemble creates an open, permeable place that actively gives something back to the neighbourhood – spatially, socially and ecologically.
