The Awards Season Continues – Schlossgarten Osnabrück Nominated for the German Natural Stone Award

We entered our project and received a nomination! The award ceremony will follow on 17 June 2026 at Messe Nürnberg.

The castle parterre forms a central element of the overall design. The aim is to once again make direct contact with the water feature possible – to sit at the edge of its basin on organically shaped biotite granite blocks and to experience the heart of the garden, the parterre, up close. In doing so, the Schlossgarten opens up – together with the newly designed castle terrace of greywacke slabs and a bench in front of it (again in the biotite granite used at the fountain) – towards the castle. The missing functional relationship between castle and castle garden is thereby restored.

Natural stone here is not merely a high-quality material – through its permanence, it also makes a clear statement about the enduring legacy of the castle's long history.
