On the site of an industrial brownfield emerges a new park in the center of the small city of Kierspe. The design showcases the renaturalized course of the Volme stream. Just as the mythological Aphrodite rises from the water and brings beauty to the world, the renaturalized stream represents the birth of something new and pleasant. Nature and industry in concert for something new, something beautiful: the Volme Leisure Park of Kierspe. The restored stream with its gentle waves and the topography of the surrounding valley are translated onto the leisure park’s new design.
